Cherry Dee you’re a leader All the girls want to be ya You’re ‘00’ and make no bones about it Back in the day you were smarter Until you discovered Prada You were confused by the shoes But you don’t want to talk about it Allow me to shout about it.. Oh, since you been blonde I’ve been trying to figure out why you were dark for so long Make it up and fake like you need to belong Don’t you know who you really are? So watch your heels on the dance floor Who are you wearing that dress for? You know those vertical stripes don’t do you justice All your friends say “isn’t she lovely…. …an angel sent from above me” Got daddy’s card working hard to keep you covered in lace But the lines on your face, they really show your age Oh, since you been blonde I’ve been trying to figure out why you were dark for so long Make it up and fake like you need to belong Don’t you know who you really are? Oh, I can’t conceive Just like everybody else you cut yourself and you bleed Curling your extensions cuz you need to believe That you know who you really are You were my senorita You lived on my Avenida But you were born with a mirror right behind your back So you could see your ass a little bit clearer

Pop Idle 05:31
You’ve got to help me out cuz I don’t understand How every woman wants to get with a man who is just like you And you can’t just leave them alone Get your guitar out and throw it away You need to walk before you run anyway you’re a big man now It’s time to stop touching yourself You were alone before Now everybody's knocking outside your door Don't tell me you got it bad It's hard to be alone with yourself And you put your private life on the shelf You been told more than you already know and still you're Pop Idle There's a million other fish in the sea But not enough to satisfy me I been told more than I already know and still I'm Pop Idle We are Pop Idle Everybody's singing La La La... You got your money back so go baby go You got your pride so don't show up for the show You're a big man now It's time to start respecting yourself You've got to swim back to shore Even though you've set sale From the tip of your highlights to your pinkie nails You're believing that it's kosher the money that you're making I believe it's about as kosher as smoky bacon You've been alone before Everybody's knocking outside your door Don't tell me you got you got it bad Apologise for all of your sins A thousand times and over again You have grown more than you already know and still you're Pop Idle There's a million other fish in the sea But not enough to satisfy me I been told more than I already know and still I'm Pop Idle We are Pop Idle Everybody's singing La La La... I'm a race car driver A gossip insider I am an ice skater A Guitar player I am suicidal A real Pop Idle I am rehabilitated Notoriously hated

Candy Candy 03:36
Candy, Candy Got me down on one knee Don’t make me plead She meant nothing to me She’s just a friend I swear I’ll never go there again Candy, Candy We need to work this thing out I’ll make a vow to you and you to me Things will get better starting now Naïve, naïve Wish I wasn’t so hard to please Candy, Candy Turn the light off, turn me on with your charms I’ll make the bed and you’ll lie here in my arms Candy don’t cry I’ll walk away if you say that’s what you need Candy, Candy don’t you ever stop loving me Candy don’t cry

Avocado Girl 06:31
I'm just wanting to get your attention just wanting to know if you were free on Friday night I'll make you aware of my intentions If it's alright, baby we can do this till it's light Just thinkin' I might inform you That you been running circles through my mind I can't help but adore you I don't know you baby but you make me wanna fly Don't you wanna talk about it?... I'm kinda like a man who holds his own yeah, baby when I'm lonely it's all I know I can leave that behind and let it go been workin on some cheesy hopeless lines I can work out your second name and guess your sign Tell me how did you get to look so fine?... Avocado Girl You look like real fun...... What's up baby? don't you like what I got on I never knew that you would bring me to this kinda bar Yeah there's conga shakin' people makin' love in the other room Any other day, I'd go crazy. Except I'm here with you... I'm just a man who wants to learn I wanna light the fire up and let it burn Been a long time baby, It's my turn You like it when the DJ plays your song You love it when the day just seems to long Looks like the weatherman got it wrong again Avocado, avocado baby, avocado girl, You're looking like real fun...

Church on the hill, I’m feeling like I have never seen you before As years go by, I don’t recognise you Big sea of souls drifting away never to be seen again Set my people free and I’ll be bound to you my dear, forever. I came to the north so that I could look down on you You can take the boy from the pool but he won’t learn I’ve asked so much of you You broke your promises and I broke the rules Let go of my heart and I’ll be bound to you my dear Forever won’t be long enough for me to heal You’re on your own now Though my presence is not there with you I know you’ll be all right Because I love you

One hundred million years ago When I was mine and you were yours We could have started our own revolution You know I can’t recall one fight or even that we ever cried Then in the middle of our plans, you upped and let go of my hand And I was forced to embrace your confusion I didn’t ask any questions why I told myself ‘just let her fly’, so you flew away And when I look into her eyes, there will be no surprises She’ll love me like she did before It turns out that she had a plan and that there was no other man She was testing the water, she was playing the field And now we carry on with life Got me a job and a sexy wife But she don’t understand me like you used to Somebody get me out of here, because I’m living out my greatest fear That I ain’t got you near And when I hold onto her hand, there will be understanding She’ll need me like she did before It turns out that she had a plan and that there was no other man She was testing the water, she was playing the field I stopped reading your star sign a long time ago So just tell me to leave and I’ll go But I just came to tell you I love you no more So get out of my mind

about

I record at home with a laptop, digital 8-track, an acoustic guitar, an electric guitar, a bass and a couple of shaky, percussion-ey things. This Demo is an album in progress. So, hopefully, songs will keep appearing as and when they're finished.

hope you like.
